Born in the city of Bridgeport, young Eric was the middle child of five. With a strong need to prove himself, his teenage years were spent studying medical books and being shoved into lockers. Heading to med school, Erik was determined to become the best doctor he could and to prove to his siblings that he was the best. However, during a vacation to France at the age of nineteen, he met art student Temperance and the two fell in love.
